This is a conversion to make the various file_operations structs in fs/
const. Basically a regexp job, with a few manual fixups
The goal is both to increase correctness (harder to accidentally write to
shared datastructures) and reducing the false sharing of cachelines with
things that get dirty in .data (while .rodata is nicely read only and thus
cache clean)

Now that get_block() can handle mapping multiple disk blocks, no need to have
->get_blocks(). This patch removes fs specific ->get_blocks() added for DIO
and makes it users use get_block() instead.

Mark file system inode and similar slab caches subject to SLAB_MEM_SPREAD
memory spreading.
If a slab cache is marked SLAB_MEM_SPREAD, then anytime that a task that's
in a cpuset with the 'memory_spread_slab' option enabled goes to allocate
from such a slab cache, the allocations are spread evenly over all the
memory nodes (task->mems_allowed) allowed to that task, instead of favoring
allocation on the node local to the current cpu.

The choice of which slab caches to so mark was quite simple. I marked
those already marked SLAB_RECLAIM_ACCOUNT, except for fs/xfs, dentry_cache,
inode_cache, and buffer_head, which were marked in a previous patch. Even
though SLAB_RECLAIM_ACCOUNT is for a different purpose, it marks the same
potentially large file system i/o related slab caches as we need for memory
spreading.
Given that the rule now becomes "wherever you would have used a
SLAB_RECLAIM_ACCOUNT slab cache flag before (usually the inode cache), use
the SLAB_MEM_SPREAD flag too", this should be easy enough to maintain.
Future file system writers will just copy one of the existing file system
slab cache setups and tend to get it right without thinking.

The fat code uses the fat_lock always in a mutex way (taking and releasing
the lock in the same function), the patch below converts it into the new
mutex primitive. Please consider this patch for the code.

This patch converts the inode semaphore to a mutex. I have tested it on
XFS and compiled as much as one can consider on an ia64. Anyway your
luck with it might be different.

This patch changes generic_cont_expand(), in order to share the code
with fatfs.
- Use vmtruncate() if ->prepare_write() returns a error.
Even if ->prepare_write() returns an error, it may already have added some
blocks. So, this truncates blocks outside of ->i_size by vmtruncate().
- Add generic_cont_expand_simple().
The generic_cont_expand_simple() assumes that ->prepare_write() can handle
the block boundary. With this, we don't need to care the extra byte.
And for expanding a file size by truncate(), fatfs uses the
added generic_cont_expand_simple().

This patch add to support of ->direct_IO() for mostly read.
The user of this seems to want to use for streaming read. So, current direct
I/O has limitation, it can only overwrite. (For write operation, mainly we
need to handle the hole etc..)

It is overkill to update the FS_INFO whenever modifying
prev_free/free_clusters, because those are just a hint.
So, this patch uses ->write_super() for updating FS_INFO instead.

During a forensic analysis on the fat file system, I found than the result for
the last access date on this file system was different between the stat
command and the istat command (package tct-utils).
The istat command display a true date (the right windows date) but the stat
primitive (so stat, find, ls command) displays a wrong date.

Update the file systems in fs/ implementing a delete_inode() callback to
call truncate_inode_pages(). One implementation note: In developing this
patch I put the calls to truncate_inode_pages() at the very top of those
filesystems delete_inode() callbacks in order to retain the previous
behavior. I'm guessing that some of those could probably be optimized.

This speeds up directory reads for large FAT partitions, if the buffercache
has to be filled from the drive. Following values were taken from:
$ time find path_to_freshly_mounted_fat > /dev/null
on an otherwise idle system.
FAT with 16KB Clusters on IDE attached drive: Factor 2
FAT with 32KB Clusters on USB2 attached drive: Factor 10 (!)
Its less than 1/10 slower, if the buffercache is uptodate.
The patch introduces the new function fat_dir_readahead().
fat_dir_readahead() calls sb_breadahead() to readahead a whole cluster,
if the requested sector is the first one in a cluster.
It is usefull to do this, because on FAT directories occupy whole
clusters, with the exception of FAT12/FAT16 root dirs.
Readahead is only done, if the cluster's first sector is not uptodate
to avoid overhead, when the buffer cache is already uptodate.
Note that under memory pressure, the maximal byte count wasted
(read: has to be red from disk twice) is 1 cluster's size. Thats 64KB.
fat_dir_readahead() is called from fat__get_entry().
There is also an unrelated cleanup at one spot:

is replaced with:
brelse(bh);
brelse() can handle NULL pointer arguments by itself.

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.
Let it rip!
