The amba-pl010 hardware does not provide RTS and DTR control lines; it is expected that these will be implemented using GPIO. Since the ARM AMBA bus is used on MIPS as well as ARM, we need to make the bus available for other architectures to use. Russell King	b63d4f0fb8	[SERIAL] Fix status reporting with PL011 serial driver ... The receiver status register reports latched error conditions, which must be cleared by writing to it. However, the data register reports unlatched conditions which are associated with the current character. Use the data register to interpret error status rather than the RSR. Linus Torvalds	1da177e4c3	Linux-2.6.12-rc2 ... Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it.
