Peter Chubb	dc90e95f31	[IA64] Add PAL_VM_SUMMARY/PAL_MEM_ATTRIB to bootloader for SKI ... This patch implements PAL_VM_SUMMARY (and PAL_MEM_ATTRIB for good measure) and pretends that the simulated machine is a McKinley. Some extra comments and clean-up by Tony Luck. Peter Chubb	a4cce10492	[IA64] Fix simulator boot (for real this time). ... Thanks to Stephane, we've now worked out the real cause of the `Linux will not boot on simulator' problem. Turns out it's a stack overflow because the stack pointer wasn't being initialised properly in boot_head.S (it was being initialised to the lowest instead of the highest address of the stack, so the first push started to overwrite data in the BSS). Linus Torvalds	1da177e4c3	Linux-2.6.12-rc2 ... Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it.
